What does Local-say means?
Our marketplace Local-say is all about local people, local place and local experience. All these encounters come from locals and are presented to you in an authentic, tailor-made way, in another words: Follow to what 'Local' 'says'.
When does Local-say start? Who did it?

It all started in 2014. I am very passionated in travels and I am a faithful believer of travelling locally: whenever possible, do everything just as a local would. Unfortunately, there aren't much information available about how to experience a place like a local on the internet. The way I did it is to actively ask the local about their lives whereever I go. I would dine with them, drink with them, dance with them and sometimes even being the guest of their home. I strongly believed that you can only truely experience the spirit of a place when you are a local.

2014 is the year when lots of my old friends come to London. Since London can be so commerical and touristic, I would rather my friends spend their time going to hidden gems which only local knows! The "private touring" was a hit and lots of people express that it would be fantastic if there are more of these authentic and tailored experience to be acquired. This inspires me to build a marketplace so everyone can find something unique to do in a foreign place.

Our mission is to provide a service so that no matter where you go, you can enjoy your destination just like any local does!

Trust and Safety

How safe is it to book an experience via Local-say?

We always have our community in mind and we do trust most of our members are contributing positively to this lovely community. In a long run, we do have plan to acquire some insurance protection for both our users and LEGs.

At the moment, Local-say quality and safety can only be enforced via reviews. As a result, common sense for self protection applies.... I know your mom said don't go out with strangers. That's why we recommend users to carry out extensive communication with the LEG via our messaging system before going out on an experience. (Yes, sounds like any dating website?). If you have doubt on the credibility of the LEG, ask for cancellation.

During the experience, you may also want to make sure you are in a safe position while enjoying the experience. You do not have to do anything when you have doubt and also insists to meetup someone at a public places. Basic precautions would protect you from any unhappy experience!
